I believe I speak for many when I say Figma is an incredible tool; it has helped me stay organized through numerous projects and has made my life easier when dealing with remote work and client feedback. With all that said, I feel Figma is missing some features that I need on a daily basis, and I have to make workarounds that are not always scalable and easy to maintain.
So, here it goes:
Dear Figma,
Please add 3D Transform and On-Scroll Animation (on prototype).
3D Transform
This is a feature that I use on my websites and clients' websites very frequently. Whether that's transforming some text, an image, or even a frame, I have to use third-party plugins that don’t always work as I want them to. Here are the plugins I am using:
On-Scroll Animation
Incorporating on-scroll animations into prototypes would be a game-changer. It would not only enhance the fidelity of our designs but also provide a closer representation of how the final product is supposed to feel. Currently, to simulate these animations, I resort to a mix of external tools and manual descriptions, which is hardly efficient or precise.
These additions would significantly enhance Figma’s utility, bridging the gap between design and development even further. It’s about elevating our ability to communicate designs in their most dynamic form, ensuring that what we envision can be precisely executed by our development teams.
To sum up, Figma, your platform has been instrumental in my design journey, helping me collaborate, create, and innovate. These features would not only augment my design capabilities but also streamline the workflow between designers and developers. By incorporating 3D transforms and on-scroll animations directly within Figma, we could push the boundaries of what’s possible in digital product design even further.
Thank you for considering my request. Together, let’s continue to redefine the limits of design collaboration and innovation.
Warm regards,
Nuhi Ademaj
